Welcome to the new FICS – Portal Intranet system specically designed for all North United Academy Staff, this platform is now centrally controlled by the IT administration team of North United Academy who will have full access to all the applications and services required for staff to use. login screenshot of North United Academy new portal. There are many changes made from our stanadard FICS – Portal to this brand new one created just for NUA. The URL access point has changed to nuaportal.nuacademy.org.uk Staff are able to login with their school email address, as we made it more simpler and easier for you. If in doubt of a password you can also login with your NUA ID too, this will ask you though a one time code for security purposes. NUAPortal can now be accessed on all devices including desktop, tablet and mobile phones making it more easier and secure for you to carry on with your daily work.

The portal has various roles which include the following:

  • Super Admin – All members who work in IT administration are Super Admins and have complete control over the platform where they can update user information which is directly connected to all school systems as well as creating new accounts and troubleshooting applications tailored for NUA.
  • Admin – All members of the Leadership Group have admin roles, who are able to see every activity log of a user on the platform, this is security feature designed to help prevent information leakage as well as accessing sensetive files.
  • Staff – All staff members are essentially staff members who have the very basic access to all the apps and logs they need to access or input for their daily teaching.
Roles can only be changed by Super-Admin and will have to get clearance from the Prinicpal of the academy in order to make changes.

NUAPortal has new apps that are tailored for the academy way of working, reporting and teaching. Our developers have also introduced a new staff reporting system to support departmental growth. NUAPortal also has connections to all the IT systems that have been installed by FICS – Systems, which include our servers and routers installation. This will help support more opportunties for carrying out easy maintence and flexible repairs in rooms or zones.
